I heard last night that a new OFF Walking Street Go-Go is paying it's dancers Bt1,400 minimum a night. That's correct, just under $50 a night. Some of the girls are on Bt2,000. Consequently, stars from other bars are being drawn there to work. Of course, these costs are passed on to the punter in the form of Bt1,500 and up bar fines.
There are still plenty around who will pay this but I suspect there will be just as many who take their business elsewhere, maybe even swerve the Go-Gos in favour of places like Marine and Insomnia.
The real winners are the girls who can make a decent living without having to put their legs in the air..... That's assuming they don't have to make monthly quotas to keep their $$$$ jobs....
Re: "The real winners are.." A girl I met in World Wide Ag-Go wasn't feeling to well one morning so being the generous Brit took her to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for a check up. After ten minutes or so the doctor proclaimed "don't worry love, we'll soon have you back on your back: Go figure?
