I visited the new mall on 2nd Road today and was impressed with what's there and what will be there in the near future. Behind McDonalds, (with wi-fi) and Starbucks (not yet open) there is an iStudio for all things Apple. On the first floor, the finishing touches are being put on a Fatboy's Diner. The 22 lane Brunswick bowling alley is in full swing, but has no lanes with side rails for kids and of course the cinema is open and showing a mixture of Thai and farang (soundtrack) movies. Shenanigan's is also in the final stages of re-fit and will open any day. See Sierra Tangos below. California Wow has a fitness centre in the mall but I seem to recall they received a bad press in Bangkok for selling memberships at many different prices. Once the members found out, all hell broke loose.

- I was standing on 2nd Road in front of the new mall when a Brit pulled up on his motorcycle and struck up a conversation. He wants directions me thinks. Well he starts to tell me about some quality holiday home exhibition in Jomtien and says he's on commission for every person that he get's in the door. - Walking Street was closed to traffic early today so vendors could set up for the OTOP event at Bali Hai. Not sure if the closure is a one off or a fixture for the duration of the event which finishes on Saturday, 25th August
