Rag - Listverse justifies Point 6 Killing Democracy by saying the rich and powerful try to influence your vote. Maybe they do but that's not the real issue. The real issue is the rich and powerful don't care who you vote in, they'll just corrupt whomever you elect. So yes, it's representative government in as far as you voted them in to office but it's not a government that works for the best interests of the country and it's people, it's a government that works for the best interests of the One Percent.
