In the article, Cassandra James makes the point that guys who arrive in Thailand and 'feel lost and confused' often turn to dating agencies for partners. It's easy to see how sharks could use these sites to feed on 'newbies'. The thing is, 'newbies' are easy meat in more areas than just dating sites. They're at risk just about anywhere they come in to contact with 'working' Thai ladies. I guess there's no substitute for having an experienced wingman with you on your first visit to Thailand.
I do know a couple of old Thai hands who successfully use dating sites for casual encounters. One has met up with an attractive hi-so lady who contacts him whenever she's in the mood. Probably whenever her husband is with his Mia Noi. Knowing his luck, she'll be the wife of a general..... A bit like the movie, Deception......
