At a recent Pattaya Business Association meeting, Mayor Itthiphol explained that a lot of special events are being organised to help put Pattaya back centre stage after the recent troubles.
On 5th/6th June, stalls selling branded goods will be set up on the Beach Road. The ‘Music Awards’ co hosted by the Pattaya Music Association and the Pop Music Chanel, will take place on the 14th. On the 18th, the Pattaya Marathon once again takes to the streets, and it is hoped that in 2012, Pattaya will play host to the 2012 Asian Marathon.
August will see the International Fireworks Festival, which is being held on the 14th to mark the 78th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. This event will see top firework manufacturers from around the world trying to prove that their company is the best. The event will take place on Pattaya Beach Road, close to Soi 4.
City Hall will work very closely with the Tourist Authority of Thailand, and other local and national organisations to create even more special events in the coming months.
