Royal Seal Of Approval

Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej Sunday signed a Royal Decree, approving the first parliamentary session after the Dec. 23 general election to be held on Monday. Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will preside over the opening ceremony at the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall of Dusit Palace at 4:30 p.m. Monday (0930 GMT), the official Thai News Agency reported.

The royal command came after the Election Commission (EC) had endorsed 460 seats altogether by Friday, reaching the minimum number of 480 in the Lower House required by the Constitution to open parliament. The law also stipulated the first parliamentary session be convened no later than 30 days after a general election. [via China View]

  • File & Folder Synchronisation - When I first discovered DSynchronize I could not believe that I never heard of this application before. This is probably the easiest way to synchronize files and folders in Windows. The software has a size of 161 Kilobyte and can be run from any location of your hard drive without having to install it.

The main program window is actually the only window of the program. You can add source files and folders on the left side and their destination on the right. Several options are available to define the synchronization further. You can opt to only sync newer files, create folders if they are not existing, use a bidirectional synchronization, exit or shutdown at the end and to reduce disk fragmentation by deleting files before replacing them.

Dsynchronize has a build in scheduler with several options. Users can choose to synchronize in intervals of x hours / minutes, synchronize every day, specify week days or days of the month. A real time (experimental) feature is available as well which synchronizes as soon as changes are made to files and folders specified. [via gHacks]

  • A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle and I can't figure out how to get it started." Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" The blonde says, "Well, according to the picture on the box, it's a tiger." Her boyfriend decides to go over and help with the puzzle. She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table. He studies the pieces for a moment and then looks at the box. Then he turns to her and says, "First of all, no matter what we do, we're never going to be able to assemble all these pieces into anything resembling a tiger." He takes her hand and says, "Second, I want you to relax whilst we have a nice cup of tea and then we’ll just put all the Frosties back into the box."
