Another fun day was had by all at the Jester's Care For Kids Fair. The Jester's deserve much credit for the effort they put in to making this day a continued success.

• The Best Free File Renamer

It had just occurred to me that I had never written about one of my favorite free file renamer applications for Windows. It’s called ReNamer, and I’ll warn you that it’s not a program for the weak at heart. It’s loaded with powerful features, and that’s one of the reasons I love it!

ReNamer lets you add a series of rules that it

will follow for renaming files in bulk. I use this on a regular basis for renaming photos so that all of the file names don’t look like the generic DSC0000018.JPG or IMG0002388.JPG. With ReNamer I can sequentially rename the photos so that they all actually have a descriptive name. This is the most powerful free file renamer that I’ve come across, and I’m sure you can find ways to rename just about anything using the different types of rules that are available:

I had thought about putting together a guide on how to use the software, but I was already beaten to it. There is a Quick Start Guide (2 pages) and a Beginner’s Guide (27 pages) available in PDF format on the file ReNamer download page. The Beginner’s Guide covers just about everything you would want to know, and it has a bunch of screenshots to walk you through the all the steps.

• Elder Sex Helps Humans Scale 'Wall Of Death' - When the New England Journal of Medicine reported two weeks ago that people in their 60s, 70s and even 80s were having sex, some younger types whined all over the web that the idea was distasteful, even gross. Don't judge so fast. Not only will you get old eventually, but the entire human race may owe its longevity to older people having sex. Put simply: If some of our ancestors hadn't played a reproductive role in their later years we might all kick off around 50. [via news.com.au] Ed. • The Ferrari Formula 1 Team fired their entire pit crew yesterday. The announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the British governments 'Work for Benefits ' scheme and employ unemployable Scousers. The decision to hire them was brought on by a recent documentary on how unemployed Liverpool youths were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew can only do it in 8 seconds with millions-of-pounds-worth of high tech gear. This was thought to be an excellent, yet bold move, by Ferrari management. As most races are won and lost in the pits, Ferrari would have an advantage over every team.

However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for at the crew's first practice session. Not only were the Scousers Pit Crew able to change the tyres in under 6 seconds, but within 12 seconds they had re-sprayed, re-badged and sold the vehicle to the MacLaren Team for four bottles of Stella, a gram of coke and a quick nosey at Coulthard's latest model girlfriend in the shower.

• Shoot 'Em Up - Movie critics (and their parents) like to moan about the proliferation of sex and violence at the theater, but what bothers us is that so few filmmakers have been able to effectively combine the two into one orgasmic moment of social depravity. If Italian sexpot Monica Bellucci and Clive Owen don't have enough raw animal magnetism to get to you to go see the guns and ammo adventure flick "Shoot 'Em Up" this weekend, perhaps the soon-to-be-legendary sex scene between the two of them will change your mind.
