Public Health Minister Dr Mongkol Na Songkhla said 87 bodies were retrieved from the debris of the One-Two-Go aircraft that crashed at the Phuket Airport on Saturday. The number of passengers injured were 43. There are a total of 130 passengers, including crew.
The budget airlines MD82 exploded and broke in two after it crash landed and skidded off the runway and crashed into nearby walls on Sunday afternoon. Dozens more are feared dead.
A surviving passenger said the plane "landed hard" and "bounced" and then skidded off the runway. Civil aviation official Chiasak Angkauwan said, "the airplane requested to land but due to the weather in Phuket -- strong wind and heavy rain -- maybe the pilot did not see the runway clearly." Party Time Pt. 2
Further to my Party Time comments yesterday regarding the San Miguel Band being absent from the party at the Buffalo Bar, I stand corrected. The photos below would suggest I'm paying too much attention to the ladies and not enough attention to what's going on around me. The band was there from 8:00pm to Midnight (their normal playing times), doing 3 session and threw in a Comedy Magician act to keep the customers amused. The band was at the back of the bar, furthest from the entrance and I have to admit, I never got further in to the bar than the bar itself which was knee deep in beautiful girls at the time. There's more to this blogging business than I realised and as my friends, well okay friend, keeps reminding me, once a monger always a monger.

- Download Open Office 2.3 today - What, you are still using MS Office? Why would you want to get into all that MS licensing crap when you can have a perfectly good office suite for free. Open Office contains the following modules: Writer, Impress, Math, Draw, Calc and Base
The official release date for Open Office 2.3 is September 17th and it can be downloaded using various official Open Office mirror sites before it is made available on the Open Office web site. It seems that the releases get spread throughout the mirror sites before September 17th so they are ready for the launch date. That said, I would just wait a few more hours to get it from the official site.
There have been so many changes to the new Open Office 2.3 version that it is impossible to list them all. Be assured that the new release contains hundreds of bugfixes and enhancements.
- Blogrush is at once an ingenious idea and a bit of a throwback to “Web 1.0″ affiliate schemes. Every time the BlogoSphere widget displays on your blog, you earn credits, and so does the person that told you about the service. Then your latest blog headline is syndicated to widgets on similar blogs. The idea is to share traffic and also help readers find related content.
- TV Schedule Of Major Sporting Events - link to the TV schedule for major sporting events such as the IRB Rugby World Cup, English Premier League, F1 Grand Prix, Cricket and Euro 2008 qualifiers. Note: The Twenty20 Cricket World Cup has already started in South Africa and although it's not shown in the schedule it may get some coverage on the Sophon Indian or Australian channels. The only way to find out is to tune in.
- Two Scousers died and went up to heaven. They were met at the Pearly Gates by
Saint Peter. He was unsure of what to do with them, so he told them to wait while he went and talked to God.
He went and asked God 'There's 2 Scousers at the gates, what should I do with them?' God replied 'This is heaven, there's no prejudice here, let them in'
Saint Peter returned to God in a couple of minutes and said 'Their gone'. God said 'Who, the Scousers?' St Peter replied, 'No, the gates'.
