Thailand Bets Against Casinos

Most Thai people oppose Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's plan to open casinos, according to a nationwide Abac Poll. In all, 56.4 per cent of respondents opposed casinos, while just 31.9 per cent approved, even if they could attract foreign tourists and generate revenue to offset the budget deficit. Ed. Here's a thought. Build a casino and 6* hotel next to U-Tapoa airport and have a casino that caters for plebs on the ground floor and millionaires who fly in by private jet on the upper floors. Include Thai style entertainment on a par with the best members clubs in Bangkok for the millionaires and you'll be fighting the money men away. Bangkok millionaires can travel down by chopper. Who knows, it could even grow in to a mini Vegas!!!!! Gambling, top tottie, booze, free V just has to be a winning combination.

  • A young woman had been taking golf lessons. She had just started playing her first round of golf when she suffered a bee sting. Her pain was so intense that she decided to return to the clubhouse for help and to complain. Her golf pro saw her come into the clubhouse and asked, 'Why are you back in so early? 'What's wrong? I was stung by a bee', she said. 'Where', he asked. 'Between the first and second hole', she replied. He nodded knowingly and said, 'Then your stance is too wide.'
