News

  • Champagne Go Go in LK Metro is still running a buy 1 get 1 free promotion on bottled beers between 7.00pm and 9.00pm every night.

  • I had a friend in town who had never been in Anglewitch, Soi 15 and although it's a bit artie-fartie for me I agreed to go with him for a look-see. He quite liked the show but was somewhat taken aback by the Bt120 charge for a bottle of water. Bottled beer is Bt145 so it looks like you pay for the show no matter what you drink. A further problem was all the girls he fancied were in the show and they appeared to be off limits. Probably only available at the Stage Door after the final curtain call. Don't see the point myself but the place was full so it's obviously a format that works for many.

  • New Living Dolls 1 are giving some lucky punter a chance to win a new chopper motor bike !! Every time you spend some money in the bar you will have a chance to win. You have to be in the bar on the night of June 15th to win.

  • The US Navy is here in force and it's a welcome boost for both bars and girls. An alternative view of what a navy visit means to Pattaya was published recently in the American Chronicle. An extract follows but hit the link below for the full article:

Why didn't they film the rapes? - I notice that during this 2005 six-month deployment of the Nimitz which PBS filmed, the ship docked in Thailand. When our navy visits this country, they dock off of Pattaya, a prostitution city created for the military. About a third of the girls trafficked to meet the sailors sexual needs are underage. Numerous eyewitnesses have told me that the first thing the U.S. sailors do, when they hop off the boats that ferry them in, is head straight for the sex-for-sale enslaved girls. Why didn't the film crew document the men going with prostituted, enslaved women and girls and girl children in Pattaya? (My sources are military men themselves who have told me about what the fleet does in Thailand.) [via The American Chronicle]

  • Pattaya's new mayor and his 24 newly elected councillors want to clean up Pattaya. During their first meeting on June 2 2008 they presented their development strategy for Pattaya:
    1. Providing four car parks for large tour buses to prevent them entering the city.
    2. The adjustment of traffic lights and traffic lanes.
    3. To close Pattaya Beach Road to traffic from Friday to Sunday.
    4. A closer control of entertainment outlets and other places such as Internet cafes.
    5. The management of public places in accordance with official regulations.
    6. Better security of lives and property for residents and visitors.
    7. Efficient collection and disposal of garbage and wastewater.

  • The chance of failure for condominium developers in Bangkok has grown to almost 50 per cent as competition heats up amid a glut of fresh supplies, warned Aquarius chief executive Yongyuth Chaipromprasert. [via The Nation]

  • At Menshealth.com they have this great food site, Eat This, Not that, detailing the best and worst dishes on offer in the branded chains. A good example is:

The Worst Drink in America - the Baskin-Robbins Large Heath Bar Shake which contains 2,310 calories and 108 g fat (64 g saturated)

America's Worst Drink by the numbers:

    • 73: The number of ingredients that go into this milkshake.
    • 66: The number of teaspoons of sugar this drink contains.
    • 11: The number of Heath Bars you would have to eat to equal the number of calories found in one Baskin Robbins Large Heath Bar Shake.
    • 12: The average number of minutes it takes to consume this drink.
    • 240: The number of minutes you'd need to spend on a treadmill, running at a moderate pace, to burn it off. (Ed. or 60 blow jobs)

Interesting site to browse round if you're wanting to live a bit longer!!!! Oddly enough, I couldn't find any dishes from the Big Mango.

If you would like to know the scientific formulae used to convert 240 minutes of treadmill time in to 60 blow jobs then pay close attention. When I were a lad, emptying your ballast tanks either manually or with assistance was reckoned to be the equivalent of running a four minute mile. That's because Roger Bannister was the best at it at that time and he could only just beat four minutes for a full splash and dash. So if you divide 240mins treadmill time by the 4mins for the mile you get 60 happy endings. Very technical I know but I was a bit of a wizz at school.

  • Over at cracked.com they've published a list of the 10 most terrifying guides to sex. The guide in 9th place caught my eye - Sex in the Golden Years

The Book Says:

"Now that more people are living to be 70, 80, 90 and 100, research shows quite clearly that sex is as important as ever."

Reviews Say:

"Our sex life has truly changed and is now the best we've ever had - even though we are both in our early seventies!"

We Say:

The above quote scares the shit out of us. If the best sex you've ever had is in your 70s, you may have ruined your life somehow. Now, understand, being the lovers of freedom and individual rights that we are, we're not suggesting senior citizens shouldn't have sex. We're just suggesting it never be talked about or acknowledged openly in any way whatsoever because it horrifies us.

Of course the reality for golden aged Pattaya mongers is more likely to be:

  • A recent study found that the average British Citizen walks about 900 miles in a year. Another found that Brits drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, us Brits get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be British.

  • Last night's Panorama told the story of what "may well turn out to be the largest war profiteering in history". If you weren't able to watch the programme, you can watch a trailer here and you can see the whole programme shortly on the BBC's iplayer. And I particularly urge those of you (George) who still think the Iraq war was about 'spreading democracy' or 'liberating' the Iraqi people, to take a look. [via Neil Clark]
