News

  • Most of you will already have read the terrible news about Mark Hogan, BM Helicopter, who has recently lost his life whilst living in Pattaya. Mark died in the early hours of 27th April 2008.
  • Mark was a popular character and enjoyed the company of his many friends, most of whom are members of Pattaya-Live. He lived life to the full and despite experiencing many of it's 'ups and downs' himself, he smiled bravely and was always the first to offer support to anyone else who was feeling 'low'.

Everyone who came into contact with Mark, will have a lasting memory of him, he was the kind of person who certainly left an impression, hardly a 'wallflower'! He was that rare person who takes the 'party' everywhere he went, sadly that party is now over and a huge empty space has now been left in many peoples hearts.

Many tributes have been posted on the forum, from close friends, fellow BM's and Marks Family alike. All have gone someway to helping people deal with the grief that comes from losing a 'good friend'.

In tribute to Mark, those BM's who live or a present in Pattaya today are asked to attend a 1 minute silence on Pattaya Beach, a group of people are meeting with Ray & Andrea, BM Suffolk Couple, at 19:15 hrs in front of Mikes Shopping Mall (Beach Road entrance). Ray will be paying his 'last respects' to Mark, others may also use the opportunity to speak of their friend.

At 19:30, Ray will be holding a 1 minute silence as a sign of appreciation of, Mark Hogan, the man.

If you are in town at the moment and had met Mark, I'm sure you will try to attend this tribute, if you aren't, you may still wish to think of Mark and respect the 1 minutes silence at 19:30 hrs (13:30 hrs GMT).

Due to the time differences, a second 1 minutes silence will also be held at 01:30 in the early hours of Saturday morning (19:30 hrs GMT).
