The Prize

The Competition
The competition will run from 25th May 2008 - 30th July 2008.
We will pre-select TWO random days. These will be drawn out of a hat with three witnesses.
Everyone who is ONLINE and meets the posting criteria in those two days will go in the draw.
Winner (to be drawn by independent witnesses) must have made 5+ posts, on at least one of the two days, and also at least 100 posts over the competition period. All qualifying posts must be reasonable quality, i.e. one or two word posts will not count.

Rules*

The prize must be taken before October 1st 2008 i.e. in August and September 2008 OR or can be carried over to after 1st April 2009. i.e. must be taken in low season.
There is no cash equivalent offered.
If the winner is unable to travel the prize will be offered to 2nd place and so on.
Judges decision will be final.
Administrators and Moderators of Pattaya Addicts, and their families are ineligible.

• Cherry Bar 1 is temporarily closed for renovation so in the interim, they have relocated to Cherry Bar 2 on the Beach Road.

They have a party tonight (24th) for Jeeb and another birthday bash on June 6 for Alex, Ali and Danny

 

• Stereo Music Bar on Soi Buakhao has closed. Rumour has it that it will re-open as a coyote club. I heard the same rumour about Gorkle Go Go just up the soi in L.K. Metro so it looks as though he thriving Club Blu is encouraging it's neighbours to copy their format. If only it was that easy!

 

• A Japanese man fell to his death from his room on the fifth floor of a Bangkok condominium. Police also found the body of his girlfriend inside the room of Fushita Manabu, 31, on the ground at Nana Condominium on Soi Sukhumvit 4 at 3 pm. [via The Nation]

 

• Bangkok governor Apirak Kosayodhin has put the brakes on plans to charge cars wishing to run on certain parts of Bangkok saying he wants more time to study it. He said the proposal, made by a businessman in Bangkok, sparked concerns that city dwellers may have to deal with extra costs during tough economic times. [via Bangkok Post] Ed. Looks like a Singapore style toll to drive in certain parts of the city.

 

• A Bollywood starlet who made her name going beyond the call of duty in Who Dares Wins, an Australian TV stunt show, has been accused of having sex with soldiers while on a tour to entertain troops in Afghanistan.

 

Tania Zaetta (above) was named in a confidential briefing paper to Australia's Defence Minister as having slept with special forces soldiers last month at a military base in Tarin Kowt, the capital of Oruzgan province. Pictures and a video were said to have been taken. [via The Times]

 

• A man who claims to have had sex with 1,000 cars has defended his "romantic" feelings towards vehicles.

Edward Smith, who lives with his current "girlfriend", (Herbie's sister) - a white Volkswagen Beetle named Vanilla, insisted that he was not "sick" and had no desire to change his ways. [via The Telegraph]

 

• Went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull last night and it's one fun ride. At times Indy looked his age and more but when he puts his hat on you quickly forget about his age and just hang on for the roller coaster ride. Loved the 'look' of the film which is set in 1957 and they catch the period perfectly. You younger ones out there will just have to take my word for it. My Gran used to tell me all about it that's how I know.... Yeah there are things I could criticise but why. It's 2 hours of pure escapism so just suspend belief and enjoy.

 

• There's a new magazine in town named Alternative Health. Wonder what it's about?
